Orchid ceremony

Six talents honored at the Orchid Awards.
Walloon Brabant is full of outstanding personalities. That's why, every year, it rewards citizens and associations who have distinguished themselves in various fields of activity (culture, music, sport, economic or social, etc.) Since 1995, personalities and projects from the BW region have been highlighted at the Orchid Ceremony.

The Cérémonie des Orchidées 2022 organized by Walloon Brabant took place on Friday, September 23 at La Sucrerie in Wavre. This evening event, presented by Luana Fontana (Les Niouzz), was an opportunity to honor the talents that have contributed to the development of Walloon Brabant. Two new features of this year's event: the winners were nominated by local residents. In addition, Walloon Brabant residents and provincial officials took part in the ceremony.

The winners of this 2022 edition are:

• rapper 13Mini (Youth);

• Indrani Lodge, a renovated farm transformed into an eco-friendly hotel (Environment);

• biopharmaceutical company Novadip Biosciences (Economy), a pioneer in bone reconstruction;

• ASBL Ecole hôpital et domicile (Action sociale): a non-profit organization that helps sick children who are unable to attend school;

• Maud Michotte, the winner of Koh-Lanta 2019 (Sport) who reached the summit of Mount Everest;

• young virtuoso pianist Taïlin Donckers (Culture).
