ABOUT THE TOWN OF AUBANGE

The town of Aubange is home to numerous talented photographers, and it offers many opportunities to capture striking images.

Aubange is a French-speaking town in Belgium, located in the Walloon Region and the Belgian Ardennes, within the Pays d’Arlon and the province of Luxembourg. It takes its name from the village of Aubange, which forms part of the town and is one of its four districts.

Aubange straddles the French-speaking Gaume region, where the Gaume dialect is spoken, and the Pays d’Arlon, a region where the traditional vernacular is Luxembourgish.
The town is unique in that it lies along two Belgian borders: the one with France and the one with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The cross-border tripoint lies in the south-east of the municipality, in Athus, bordering Mont-Saint-Martin (Meurthe-et-Moselle department, France) and Rodange (Esch-sur-Alzette canton, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). Aubange is also one of the 25 towns in the Cross-Border Urban Area of the European Development Pole, a cross-border urban agglomeration.
