ABOUT THE TOWN OF EUPEN

The town of Eupen is home to numerous talented photographers, and there are many opportunities to capture striking images there.

Eupen is a German-speaking town in Belgium, situated in the province of Liège in the Walloon Region.
It is the capital of the German-speaking Community of Belgium and one of the nine German-speaking municipalities in Belgium. Eupen lies 15 km from Aachen in Germany, to which it belonged before the First World War.

Situated at an altitude of between 250 and 350 metres, the town consists of two parts: the upper town (Oberstadt), which is the larger of the two and home to the main monuments and shopping centres, and the lower town (Unterstadt), on the banks of the Vesdre.
Eupen is the seat of the Government of the German-speaking Community and, since January 2007, has been home to the headquarters of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. It is also a major industrial town.

In addition to its many picturesque narrow streets and distinctive atmosphere, Eupen offers numerous green spaces and pleasant walks. The town provides a suitable setting for photo shoots that showcase your company, organisation or institution.
