ABOUT FOSSES-LA-VILLE

Fosses-la-Ville is home to countless talented photographers, and opportunities for beautiful images abound.

Fosses-la-Ville is a French-speaking town in the Walloon region of Belgium, in the province of Namur. Located in the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region, it is watered by the Biesme river.

Fosses-la-Ville is famous for its Laetare carnival, during which the famous regional folk group Chinels parade through the streets of the town.

In addition to its many typical alleyways and unique atmosphere, Fosses-la-Ville boasts a wealth of green spaces and must-see walks. Ideal for unique photo shoots that put your company, organization or institution in the spotlight.
Fosses-la-Ville is a multi-faceted city, perfect for photography.

Through winding streets and narrow lanes, discover the remains of the ancient medieval town. On your own, following a tour leaflet (free from the Syndicat d'initiative and Regare).
With a guide (minimum 10 people). Bookings required at the Syndicat d'initiative.

A septennial Entre-Sambre-Et-Meuse "march", the "Saint-Feuillen", the largest folk march in the Province of Namur, welcomes several Namur folk companies. It commemorates the founding of the monastery by Saint Feuillen de Fosses, an Irish monk who came to preach the Gospel. He was murdered by brigands on October 31, 655, while passing through Waudez, near Nivelles, on his way to Lagny. Since then, the patron saint of Fosses-la-Ville has enjoyed a growing cult and popularity. A Celtic cross has been erected at the entrance to the collegiate church, and a small chapel built exactly as it was in Feuillen's day has been erected next to the chapel of Sainte-Brigide, overlooking the valley that shelters the town.

Fosses-la-Ville can be better known thanks to the initiatives of local organizations: a tour of the town center, a visit to the collegiate church, a visit to the Sainte-Brigide chapel site, "heritage days", the Christmas market, the history circle, the Bambois lake, etc. Fosses-la-Ville has a fascinating history, whatever the period studied: it's still a lively commune, representative of Wallonia, folklore and the Walloon art of living.

Fosses-la-Ville has the distinction of having bilingual French-Walloon street signs.

We offer you the best photographer in Fosses-la-Ville whose professional skills are perfectly matched to your photojournalistic requirements.
