Multiple exposure is originally a photographic or video technique that involves exposing the same section of a film twice or more. This process is known as a double exposure, or a multiple exposure of the film.

Through double exposure, photographers can break free from the conventions and image tropes that are found everywhere. It’s a blend of technique and artistry on the one hand, and chance on the other. You have to dare to be different and offer a fresh perspective on events. It’s a great way to unleash your creativity and highlight the beauty of the world through poetic photographs.

Solidarity is central to the illuminations project for our beautiful Brussels.

Artist Charles Kaisin has captured the capital with his striking and deeply human project, “Origami for Life”.

A collaborative artwork created during the first lockdown, in partnership with the Kanal Pompidou art centre and with the participation of the Belgian public.

Thanks to a tutorial shared on social media, the public has turned out in force. Many high-profile guests, such as Julie Taton, Pierre Marcolini and Stephane De Groodt, have also taken part in this initiative.

The news broke in March, when the French and Belgian governments, along with those of many other European countries, announced a lockdown to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is hard news for everyone, and photographers are no exception. The new watchword is ‘Stay at home!’.

Originally from Brussels, I am a photographer and the founder of the ISOPIX photography agency. I relish a challenge. This collaboration with Daïna LE LARDIC (co-founder of ISOWAY) is precisely that: a new adventure for both of us.
