Interpreting reality with black-and-white photography
If color photography is the representation of reality, then black & white photography can be considered the interpretation of reality.
There's something magical about grayscale images. A historic technique, with silver-based photography, it bears witness to the times. Despite the advent of color film in the 60s, black & white photography has remained timeless. Supplanted by a technical constraint, it has nevertheless quickly established itself as timeless.
Origami for life by Charles Kaisin
Solidarity is at the heart of the Illuminations project in beautiful Brussels.
Artist Charles Kaisin has taken possession of the capital with his magnificent and humane "Origami for Life".
A collective work created during the first confinement, in collaboration with the Kanal Pompidou art center and with the participation of the Belgian population.
Thanks to a tutorial made available on social networks, the public responded positively. Many distinguished guests such as Julie Taton, Pierre Marcolini and Stephane De Groodt also took part in this fabulous initiative.
Photographers facing confinement
In March, the governments of France, Belgium and many other European countries announced a population lockdown to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The news is hard on everyone, and photographers are not spared. The new watchword is "Stay at home".
Half the duo...
It all starts with an idea, an intuition, a desire.
My name is Paul MARNEF.
Originally from Brussels, photographer and founder of the ISOPIX agency. I love a challenge. And that's exactly what this duo with Daïna LE LARDIC (co-creator of ISOWAY) represents for me: a new adventure for us.
We created the agency in September 2020 to offer our ideas, creativity and dynamism together.
