Half the duo...

Hello everyone,

Would you like to know who's behind ISOWAY? Then here's half the answer.

My name is Paul MARNEF.

Originally from Brussels, photographer and founder of the ISOPIX agency. I love a challenge. And that's exactly what this duo with Daïna LE LARDIC (co-creator of ISOWAY) represents for me: a new adventure for us. We created the agency in September 2020 to offer our ideas, creativity and dynamism together.

I'm really passionate about photography. My job provides me with a perfect blend of technical and artistic aspects that enable me to show my vision of an event. Originally more of a reporter, I started out as a photographer in a press agency. This was ideal for me because photojournalism is a very varied and demanding field. It also led me to take an interest in the new tools and technologies available to enhance images. That's how I came to specialize in tiny planets photos.

My references are quite varied, but I have to admit to a particular fondness for Jimmy Nelson. In his project "The Last Ethnic Groups", or "Before They Pass Away" in its original title, this English photographer has travelled the world with his camera to bring us incredible, magnificent images of indigenous peoples. And if you don't know him yet, go and discover him.

In a slightly more classic but no less important vein, I can also mention Sebastião Salgado. Perhaps one of the finest photojournalists of his time.

Finally, to stay within the spectrum of documentary photography, I invite you to appreciate the work of Frédéric Noy, a talented French photographer.
