For years, images have caught Michel Watthieu’s eye through his lens – moments frozen in time that set him apart from the 25 frames per second of his usual practice.

Models who are true collaborators – the subject of this exhibition – as well as landscapes that he is presenting to you for the first time.
The photos are sometimes ‘raw’ and simple, just as the subject presented them, whilst at other times the image frozen on his screen suddenly evokes other things – worlds waiting to be explored. It is then a creative process that awaits him, purely imaginary, involving montages, graphic design and computer-generated imagery (using only human creativity, never AI), Michel tells us.
