Visible from the Citadelle hill, it's a train stop rather than a stadium that can now be discovered in the city of Liège. Liège-Gillemins, inaugurated in 2009, was designed by Catalan architect Santiago Calatrava, a specialist in bridges and stations such as Lyon's Saint-Exupéry TGV station and Valence's Pont de l'Assut de l'Or. These structures feature repeated organic lines and lightness thanks to all the openings and transparencies. The artist has masterfully combined steel, glass and concrete. It's a futuristic work of art that you can admire on the platforms while waiting for your train.

It's beautiful, it's majestic and it's Belgian. This station deserves its place among the most beautiful in the world , thanks to its beautiful curved lines, its purity and its perfect perspectives.
