This landmark event, the first of its kind to bring together a wide range of European Local Action Groups (LAGs) in over 15 years, represents a major milestone in the promotion of sustainable rural development.

The LEADER 2023 European Congress stands out as the first event of such magnitude organized by an institution outside the European Commission, underlining its importance and uniqueness. The European LEADER Association for Rural Development (ELARD), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in rural areas, played a key role in organizing the event. With 32 members from 29 European countries and beyond, ELARD highlighted the importance of sustainable and integrated local development.
