Hubert Bouttiau is a contemporary Belgian artist born in Mons in 1988. He is known for his monumental paintings, which are distinguished by their use of radical plastic biases, giving them a powerful presence. His works are structured by contrasts, with, on the one hand, wide planes representing objects (artifices) constructed from strict solids, acrylics and cold monochrome colors, methodically arranged without nuance and with a matt texture.
Then, on the other hand, by surfaces representing carnal parts (nature), treated in oils with warmer colors.

Hubert Bouttiau was featured in Scope Miami Beach 2019: Art Week's Wild Show Off and was mentioned in a WHITEWALL article in December 2019. These references highlight his participation in art events and his importance in the field of contemporary art.
