Photo report on the First National Day of the Police Constable
200 people took part in the first National Police Day in Brussels.
Nearly 200 police constables (investigating officers) gathered in Brussels on 9 May 2023 for the first National Police Constable Day, organised by the Directorate-General for Security and Prevention (DGSP) of the Federal Public Service for the Interior.
Peace officers form part of the security policy; they are one of the security professions in Belgium. Peace officers work within a local authority and are the first point of contact for citizens within the municipality. In particular, they are responsible for security and prevention tasks aimed at increasing citizens’ sense of security and preventing public nuisance and crime.
