The Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Geel, Belgium, is one of the European Union's leading research facilities.
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Geel, Belgium, is one of the European Union's leading research facilities. It is part of the European Commission and brings together experts in fields such as chemistry, biology, ecology and environmental sciences, who work together to find solutions to global challenges.
The ISOWAY agency , which specializes in corporate and institutional photography, recently had the opportunity to produce a photo report inside the JRC in Geel, under the direction of a professional photographer. The aim of the assignment was to capture the essence of the spirit of research and discovery that drives JRC scientists and researchers, as well as to showcase the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment used in their work.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to photograph scientists at work in their laboratories, using state-of-the-art equipment to carry out experiments and tests. We also captured images of research facilities, such as conference rooms and data centers, as well as images of equipment used for environmental studies.

One of the main points of interest in our report was the underground laboratory for ultra-low level gamma spectrometry (HADES) at JRC Geel. This laboratory is equipped with one of the world's most sensitive gamma detectors, capable of detecting extremely low levels of radioactivity. It is used for nuclear safety research and environmental monitoring. The images obtained in this laboratory demonstrate the expertise and cutting-edge technology used in radioactivity research.
We also had the opportunity to photograph the neutron travel time facility (GELINA) at JRC Geel. This facility is used for nuclear physics research, in particular for measuring the properties of nuclei and studying nuclear reactions. The images obtained from this facility show the state-of-the-art equipment used for this high-level research.
The photos obtained during this reportage highlight the passion and dedication of the researchers to their work, as well as the considerable efforts made to find solutions to global problems such as food safety, air and water quality, the fight against climate change and the protection of biodiversity. The images captured in this photo essay are a testament to the expertise and commitment of the researchers at JRC Geel, and show how scientific advances can contribute to a safer, more sustainable world.

To sum up, our photo shoot at the JRC in Geel, Belgium, was an opportunity for us to demonstrate our expertise as professional photographers specializing in corporate and institutional photography. We were particularly impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities such as the underground laboratory for ultra-low level gamma spectrometry (HADES) and the RC neutron travel time facility (GELINA), which were highlighted in our report. These images testify to the considerable efforts being made to find solutions to global challenges, and show how scientific advances can contribute to a safer, more sustainable world.
Many thanks to INS for its confidence.
